I've just had the chance to look round his website, The master of meetings. It's an excellent resource. Everything I've read so far is spot on the money.
I used to be a local-government corporate lawyer and specialised in attending council committee meetings to make sure they followed appropriate procedures. I've spent more hours than I can remember advising on meeting procedures and processes. David's website is a great resource, and I recommmend it.
Here are 2 excellent tips
- Check out the chairs in the venue for longer meetings (and check if they're comfortable both for tall and short people. I'm 5 feet 2. Most chairs seem to be made for people 5 feet 6 and up.)
- A room with windows will get better results than a closed room (unless, of course, you are using it to host the tax inspectors and you want them to leave as soon as possible - read the full story told by Martz Witty, the SME Guru in his book Hit The Road Running! Gain more customers of the kind you want.
